Security Guard/Concierge

<p>Full Time/Part Time Highly Experienced Security Concierge for a condominium corporation located in Toronto. The shifts are <b>Afternoon Shifts Monday-Friday & Saturday Night Shift. </b></p> <p><b>Requirements</b></p> <ul> <li>Valid Ontario Security Guard License in good standing</li> <li>First Aid and level C CPR certifications a definite asset</li> <li>Minimum 2 years experience in a security role within a Condominium Environment</li> <li>Proficient with computer literacy</li> <li>Strong written and verbal skills communication skills</li> <li>Strong interpersonal and customer service skills</li> <li>Strong attention to detail</li> <li>The ability to maintain and nurture relationships</li> <li>The ability to follow all policies, procedures and protocols</li> <li>Quick response time</li> <li>Strong telephone etiquette</li> <li>Flexible and adaptable to ever changing environments</li> </ul> <p><b>Responsibilities:</b></p> <ul> <li>Provide outstanding customer service</li> <li>Continuously work towards providing a safe working environment</li> <li>Maintain a safe and clean working space</li> <li>Oversee people entering and leaving the building (Sign in/out)</li> <li>Always enforce property safety rules and procedures</li> <li>Continuous monitoring of building internally and externally</li> <li>Reporting of any incidents</li> <li>Overseeing bookings for party rooms</li> <li>Answering customer inquires</li> <li>All other duties as assigned</li> </ul> <p>Duties:<br />– Monitor and patrol assigned areas to ensure the safety and security of the premises<br />– Operate and monitor CCTV systems to detect and prevent security breaches<br />– Enforce access control procedures and verify the identity of individuals entering or exiting the premises<br />– Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances or suspicious activities<br />– Write detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records of security-related incidents<br />– Provide assistance and guidance to visitors, employees, and contractors as needed<br />– Conduct regular inspections to identify potential security risks or hazards<br />– Collaborate with law enforcement agencies in emergency situations</p> <p>Skills:<br />– Strong observation and surveillance skills<br />– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills<br />– Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations<br />– Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities<br />– Physical fitness and ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time<br />– Knowledge of security procedures, protocols, and regulations</p> <p>Responsibilities:<br />– Patrol and monitor premises regularly to maintain a safe and secure environment<br />– Protect property and assets by maintaining a visible presence<br />– Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems<br />– Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances<br />– Enforce company policies and procedures<br />– Conduct regular inspections to ensure security equipment is functioning properly<br />– Provide assistance to customers, employees, and visitors as needed<br />– Complete detailed reports on incidents, observations, and activities</p> <p>Qualifications:<br />– Previous experience in law enforcement, security, or a related field preferred<br />– Knowledge of surveillance techniques and procedures<br />– Familiarity with loss prevention techniques<br />– Ability to operate CCTV systems and other security equipment<br />– Strong observation skills and attention to detail<br />– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills<br />– Ability to remain calm in stressful situations<br />– Physical fitness and the ability to stand or walk for long periods of time</p> <p>Please note that this job description is not exhaustive and additional duties may be assigned as needed</p> <p>Job Types: Full-time, Permanent</p> <p>Pay: From $17.90 per hour</p> <p>Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Security: 3 years (required)</li> <li>Concierge: 3 years (required)</li> <li>Customer Service: 3 years (required)</li> </ul> <p>Licence/Certification:</p> <ul> <li>Security Guard Licence (preferred)</li> </ul> <p>Work Location: In person</p>
