Production Operator / Machine Operator (Plastic Bag Manufacturing)

We are currently hiring for a full-time Production Operator/Machine Operator at our Scarborough manufacturing facility.

PLEASE READ BEFORE APPLYING:

  • Applicants must currently reside in Ontario and be able to commute to Scarborough daily.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada and not require current or future employer sponsorship.
  • We are not accepting overseas applications.
  • Only candidates with relevant manufacturing experience will be considered.

Compensation

  • $25.00–$30.00 per hour for candidates with 5+ years of plastic bag manufacturing or blown film extrusion experience.
  • $20.00–$24.00 per hour for candidates with less experience but relevant manufacturing backgrounds.

Responsibilities

  • Operate / assist with operating blown film extrusion and bag-making equipment.
  • Package finished products and prepare them for shipment.
  • Perform quality inspections and maintain production records.
  • Load raw materials and packaging supplies.
  • Assist with machine setup, changeovers, and minor troubleshooting.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Follow all company safety and quality procedures.
  • Work with supervisors and team members to meet daily production targets.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in plastic bag manufacturing, blown film extrusion, or related plastics manufacturing is strongly preferred.
  • Mechanical aptitude and manufacturing experience are considered assets.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Reliable transportation to Scarborough.
  • Strong attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
