Type of Employment: Permanent Hourly FT (100%) x 1** Management/Non Union P osition Posting Closing Date: 25-Aug-26 About The Opportunity Reporting to the Manager, Technology Enabled Practice, the Pharmacy Automation Lead is responsible for providing a high level of organization and support for the Pharmacy Automation Strategy. The tasks performed by the Pharmacy Automation Lead are essential to provide accurate and timely data for decision- making by leadership and day to day project delivery.

The Pharmacy Automation Lead works closely with pharmacy leaders, the Technology Enabled Practice team, and project managers to support all project activities. In this full-time professional role, senior directors, clinical leaders, managers, directors or departments may be supported.

Lead is responsible for following and adhering to standard policies and procedures and prescribed guidelines and industry standards when completing duties. This position involves varied work within general project management procedures, which requires judgement and initiative and is expected to be able to balance a heavy workload and multiple competing tasks.

Lead will be responsible to coordinate equipment purchases/replacements within the project scope, and assist with RFP development as required.

Lead is responsible to manage the process for training and education, develop learning materials, as well as support leaders across the province in coordinating the timing for their areas.

Lead coordinates and prepares documentation, communication, agendas, meeting minutes, decision requests and contributes to the requirements, risk, schedule and change control processes.

About You We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Graduate of a recognized pharmacy technician/technology program, or equivalent experience as a Pharmacy Practice Assistant required
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a healthcare organization with demonstrated leadership responsibilities required
  • Experience in supporting projects in complex environments is considered an asset
  • Experience and/or training with healthcare equipment and information systems is considered an asset
  • Certification in organizational change management an asset
  • Experience in working with pharmacy automation equipment and day to day hospital pharmacy processes.
  • Demonstrates ability to generate innovative, practical solutions to challenging situations
  • Demonstrates openness to change and ability to manage complex, ever-changing environments
  • High proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products, specifically MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint, SharePoint, Skype
  • Highly organized with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in drafting correspondence, minute taking and report preparation.
  • Understands full project life-cycle and Project Management concepts
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

  • Permanent full-time position; 75 hours biweekly
  • Location will be determined based on the Successful Candidate
  • This position offers a offers a hybrid/work from home model
  • Travel to other sites or throughout the province required. Valid Nova Scotia driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle is required
Compensation And Benefits Pay Scale Type: Non-Union

Band: NU03

Hourly Rate: $33.34 - $40.84

Annual Salary: $65,006- $79,633

Successful candidates may be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, which includes health, dental, and travel insurance; long-term disability and life insurance coverage; and a defined benefit pension plan.
