The technician will install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently. Day-to-day tasks include diagnosing system issues, performing preventive maintenance, checking electrical and plumbing connections, and complying with applicable codes and EPA regulations. The role also involves communicating with customers about work performed, providing recommendations, completing service reports, and coordinating with team members to prioritize jobs and maintain a clean, safe work area.</p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><p> </p><ul><li>Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for HVAC systems.</li><li>Knowledge of electricity and electrical components related to HVAC equipment.</li><li>Experience with plumbing connections and condensate drainage in HVAC installations.</li><li>Proficiency in preventive maintenance practices for residential and commercial HVAC systems.</li><li>Understanding of EPA regulations and safe handling of refrigerants.</li><li>Valid HVAC technician license or equivalent trade certification.</li><li>Experience with furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ventilation systems.</li><li>Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and work orders.</li><li>Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach.</li><li>Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally for service calls.</li><li>Capability to work safely with tools and equipment and lift moderate loads.</li><li>Previous field experience in HVAC service or installation is strongly preferred.</li></ul>
