Junior Press Feeder - Entry Level, We Train (Mississauga).

Wage: $18 to $22/hour to start, reviewed at 6 months

Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hrs/week, Monday to Friday, daily schedule to be determined.

Location: Dundas St E and Dixie, Mississauga (on-site)

We are an established commercial printing, direct mail and fulfillment shop looking for someone to train up on our offset presses. You will work alongside our pressman as a second set of hands and learn the trade from the feeder end up. No printing experience needed. No diploma needed. We train you. There is a real path here, and it is a trade that stays with you for your whole career.

What you will do:

  • Load and align stock at the feeder and keep the press running clean
  • Watch sheets coming off the press for colour and alignment problems
  • Help with make-ready: hanging plates, washing blankets and rollers, colour changes
  • Daily press maintenance: lubrication, filters, belts, wash-up systems
  • Move skids with a pallet jack and help in the bindery and mailing during downtime
  • Keep the pressroom clean and safe

What we are looking for:
  • Mechanical instinct. You are comfortable with hand tools and you are the type who takes things apart to understand them. Cars, bikes, small engines, whatever. Formal training is a bonus, not a requirement.
  • A sharp eye for small differences in colour and alignment
  • Reliable and punctual, able to take direction on a production floor
  • Comfortable standing a full shift and lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada, with reliable transportation to Mississauga
