Integration Senior Software Engineer

<p>LeverageTek is actively seeking an Integration Senior Software Engineer for a 12-month contract with its Ottawa-based customer</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Work Location</strong> </p><ul><li>This is a fully remote position. There is no on-site requirement.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Tasks</strong></p><ul><li>Perform hands-on development, maintenance, enhancement, and support of enterprise integration platforms</li><li>Design, develop, and integrate information systems and integration technologies in accordance with industry best practices and EDC standards</li><li>Develop and maintain integrations using Microsoft Azure, Azure Functions, .NET/C#, BizTalk, and APIs</li><li>Provide technical guidance and recommendations on the optimal use and evolution of integration platforms</li><li>Review system models, specifications, architecture diagrams, and technical documentation</li><li>Provide technical direction related to APIs, event services, integration patterns, service-oriented architecture, DevOps and DevSecOps, and hybrid Azure and on-premises integrations</li><li>Develop and implement standards and processes for coding, deployment, testing, security, and governance</li><li>Build and maintain infrastructure automation using Terraform and/or Bicep</li><li>Implement automated security controls, policy-as-code, and automated exception processes</li><li>Analyze and resolve complex technical support and integration issues</li><li>Support solution lifecycle management from development through deployment and ongoing operations</li><li>Ensure the security, performance, scalability, reliability, and availability of integration platforms and services</li><li>Leverage modern development tools and emerging technologies, including AI-assisted software engineering tools, where appropriate</li></ul><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>5+ years of proven, hands-on, expert-level experience building Azure integrations, including Azure Functions and Azure DevOps</li><li>4+ years of hands-on experience developing enterprise-grade Terraform or Bicep modules</li><li>4+ years of DevSecOps experience, particularly with Azure DevOps, including automated security controls and policy-as-code</li><li><strong>Qualifications</strong></li><li>Strong hands-on experience with .NET and C#</li><li>Experience with Microsoft BizTalk and enterprise integration environments</li><li>Strong understanding of APIs, service-oriented architecture, integration patterns, and event services</li><li>Experience supporting hybrid Azure and on-premises integrations</li><li>Strong knowledge of Git and modern branching strategies, including GitHub Flow</li><li>Experience implementing infrastructure automation and platform engineering practices within a Microsoft-centric ecosystem</li><li>Azure certifications and demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex .NET technical problems</li><li>Experience leveraging AI within integration software engineering (e.g., GitHub Copilot, AI-assisted development and automation)</li><li>Experience with tools such as Postman Enterprise, Azure Storage Explorer, draw.io, and Azure DevOps</li></ul><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Compensation</strong> Hourly Rate Negotiable This is an existing position vacancy.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><strong>About LeverageTek Staffing Solutions</strong> Founded in 2003, LeverageTek provides end-to-end, cross-functional staffing solutions throughout North America.
