Inside Sales Representative – VWR, Scientific Laboratory Products

Job Description:

  • Provide VWR solutions to customers across assigned market segments
  • Manage a territory consisting of many customers across various markets
  • Prospect and establish new customers by managing a sales pipeline
  • Develop and deliver customer proposals illustrating VWR's value proposition
  • Sell consultatively by detailing products, determining customer needs, and recommending Avantor solutions
  • Develop strategic territory business plans with sales management to achieve sales growth and quota attainment
  • Provide proposals and implement sales strategies to achieve sales growth
  • Build and sustain customer relationships and ensure satisfaction and loyalty
  • Manage VWR's product portfolio and execute company sales and marketing strategies
  • Develop customer retention strategies and expand VWR's role with existing customers
  • Leverage resources to implement marketing plans, strategies, and sales processes
  • Represent Avantor and develop strong manufacturer relationships
  • Work with local manufacturer representatives to improve product knowledge, pricing, and account profitability
  • Travel to the United States for annual sales conferences and occasional training sessions
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • College degree or equivalent/applicable experience
  • 3–5 years of experience in a complex sales environment involving multiple purchasing decision-makers and solution-based selling
  • Proven, verifiable sales success driving growth through a consultative, strategic selling approach
  • Business-to-business (B2B) sales experience
  • Distribution experience preferred
  • Scientific background and/or laboratory or research environment experience preferred
  • Experience with technology platforms including SAP C4C and Qlik Sense
  • Science or manufacturing research background preferred
  • Excellent communication and team interaction skills
  • Ability to conduct business conversations with business owners and decision-makers
  • Ability to handle difficult situations and interactions
  • Ability to work independently and manage time and territory successfully
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to sell strategically within an account
  • Ability to understand individual customer operations
  • Willingness to travel to customer locations
  • Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office
