<strong style="font-weight:700;">Job Title: Forklift Operator</strong><strong>Job Description</strong><p>This role involves operating forklifts and related powered industrial vehicles in a high-volume cookie manufacturing facility that runs 24/7. You will support production and packaging operations on the B shift, ensuring materials and finished goods move safely and efficiently while following strict food safety and GMP standards.</p><strong>Responsibilities</strong><ul><li>Operate forklifts and other powered industrial vehicles, including sit-down and stand-up counterbalance, walkie/rider, and reach trucks, to move raw materials, packaging, and finished goods throughout the facility.</li><li>Load, unload, and transport materials safely while adhering to all facility safety procedures and food manufacturing guidelines.</li><li>Support production and packing activities by ensuring timely delivery and removal of materials from production lines and storage areas.</li><li>Use computer systems to complete inventory movements, track materials, and perform basic data entry related to warehouse and production activities.</li><li>Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) at all times to maintain a clean, organized, and compliant food production environment.</li><li>Handle and lift items weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis as part of material handling and packing tasks.</li><li>Work collaboratively with production workers and other team members in a busy manufacturing environment to meet operational goals.</li><li>Maintain a high level of awareness of surroundings and equipment to prevent accidents and ensure a safe workplace.</li><li>Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including hair nets, smocks, safety shoes, and ear protection, and comply with all hygiene and safety rules.</li><li>Adapt to a weekend night B shift schedule and remain flexible to work two additional days during the week on day, afternoon, or night shifts as needed.</li></ul><strong>Essential Skills</strong><ul><li>Valid forklift certification and Powered Industrial Vehicle (PIV) license with at least one year of experience operating sit-down/stand-up counterbalance, walkie/rider, and reach truck equipment.</li><li>Demonstrated experience working in a GMP-regulated environment, preferably in consumer packaged goods or food manufacturing.</li><li>Ability to lift and handle items weighing up to 50 pounds safely and repeatedly.</li><li>Strong computer skills and comfort using computer systems as an integral part of daily work.</li><li>Experience with packing or production support in a manufacturing or warehouse setting.</li><li>Attention to detail and commitment to following safety, hygiene, and operational procedures.</li></ul><strong>Additional Skills & Qualifications</strong><ul><li>Experience with SAP or an equivalent warehouse management system is a strong asset.</li><li>Background in consumer packaged goods manufacturing or similar high-volume production environments.</li><li>Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced facility with a large production workforce.</li><li>Willingness to wear PPE such as hair nets, smocks, safety shoes, and ear protection in accordance with facility requirements.</li></ul><strong>Why Work Here?</strong><p>You will join a high-volume, well-organized food manufacturing facility that values safety, quality, and teamwork.
