<p>Email Marketing Manager, Pehr</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Toronto, ON | Hybrid</strong></p><p><br></p><p>We’re hiring a hands-on Email Marketing/Retention Manager to own strategy and execution across our lifecycle channels. You’ll build, launch, and optimize programs that thoughtfully blend editorial storytelling with high-performing promotional campaigns—driving engagement, loyalty, and LTV for Pehr.com while growing our subscriber base and mastering the technical side of email and SMS.</p><p><br></p><p>What You’ll Do (Strategy + Execution):</p><p><br></p><p>Retention Strategy & Program Ownership</p><ul><li>Own and evolve the full email and SMS strategy, balancing brand-forward editorial content (storytelling, seasonal inspiration, and nursery lifestyle) with commercial promotional messaging.</li><li>Design, test, and scale onboarding, nurture, win-back, reactivation, loyalty, and triggered journeys that feel personal and on-brand.</li><li>Develop and own list growth strategies to expand the email and SMS subscriber base while protecting engagement, deliverability, and list health.</li><li>Lead advanced segmentation and personalization using behavioral, transactional, and demographic data for relevant, high-performing messaging.</li></ul><p>Campaign Planning & Execution</p><ul><li>Plan, calendar, and execute Email + SMS campaigns end-to-end—both promotional and editorial—from brief through deployment and analysis.</li><li>Partner closely with Creative, Merchandising, and Brand teams to deliver on-brand, high-engagement content that resonates with parents and caregivers.</li><li>Run continuous A/B and multivariate tests on subject lines, creative, offers, cadence, and segmentation to lift open rates, clicks, and conversions.</li></ul><p>Analytics, Optimization & Technical Management</p><ul><li>Define KPIs, build clear dashboards, and analyze performance daily—turning data into actionable insights and next-step tests.</li><li>Serve as the hands-on expert for our ESP and SMS platforms (Klaviyo strongly preferred), managing flows, data extensions, templates, deliverability, and compliance (CAN-SPAM and beyond).</li><li>Own list hygiene, suppression management, and growth tactics that sustain long-term channel health and performance.</li><li>Forecast channel contribution and partner with Analytics and leadership on broader revenue planning.</li></ul><p>Customer Lifecycle</p><ul><li>Design and manage customer surveys to capture insights that shape retention strategy, product feedback, and overall customer experience.</li><li>Monitor customer loyalty metrics and Customer Lifetime Value (CLV), identifying trends and opportunities to deepen engagement and increase long-term value.</li><li>Develop and execute loyalty initiatives that reward repeat customers and drive measurable growth in lifetime value.</li></ul><p>Cross-Functional Collaboration</p><ul><li>Align with Marketing, Creative, Merchandising, and Acquisition teams for cohesive full-funnel messaging and seamless customer journeys.</li><li>Act as the central point of coordination for lifecycle initiatives, keeping stakeholders informed and timelines on track.</li></ul><p>Team Management</p><ul><li>Lead and develop 1 direct report or agency relationship, fostering ownership, strong execution, and professional growth.</li></ul><p><br></p><p>You Bring:</p><ul><li>5–7+ years in digital marketing with deep, hands-on Email + SMS experience (e-commerce or retail preferred).</li><li>Proven ability to balance editorial storytelling with promotional performance—crafting emails that feel brand-true while driving measurable results.</li><li>Large-scale ESP mastery (Klaviyo strongly preferred) and strong technical fluency in segmentation, automation, data management, and deliverability.</li><li>Demonstrated success growing and maintaining healthy, engaged subscriber lists.</li><li>Solid understanding of compliance (CAN-SPAM and related), list hygiene, and best practices for long-term channel health.</li><li>Advanced Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Index/Match)</li><li>A natural balance of analytical rigor and creative sensibility.</li><li>Execution-oriented—you strategize and roll up your sleeves to execute.</li><li>Detail-obsessed, results-driven, and comfortable juggling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Self-starter who thrives in cross-functional settings and communicates clearly, both verbally and in writing.</li></ul><p><br></p><p>Successful Manager-Level Candidates will Exhibit:</p><p><strong>Drive for Results: </strong>Consistently works toward meeting or exceeding business goals.</p><p><strong>Customer Focus: </strong>Obsessed with customer needs and building lasting brand loyalty.</p><p><strong>Creativity: </strong>Generates fresh ideas and connects dots others miss.</p><p><strong>Teamwork: </strong>Brings a positive attitude, working cross-functionally to drive results.</p><p><br></p>
