The Role

OpenTrain is seeking an Ambulance Dispatch AI Training Specialist to support AI training focused on emergency response communications. You will apply professional ambulance or emergency dispatch experience to evaluate triage, prioritization, routing, resource allocation, and documentation practices.

This is an entry-level AI training opportunity for contributors who bring relevant emergency communications expertise. Prior AI-training experience is not required, and formal certification is not required.

What You’ll Do

You will apply standardized protocols and checklists while managing urgent communications and contributing domain expertise to AI training quality standards. The work requires clear judgment, accurate documentation, and consistent attention across multiple information streams.

  • Receive and triage emergency requests through radio, phone, and chat
  • Assess concurrent requests and determine urgency and incident type
  • Allocate resources appropriately in real time
  • Document inbound communications, dispatch decisions, and relevant actions clearly and accurately
  • Route information and dispatch instructions to appropriate responders according to established procedures
  • Manage multiple inbound and outbound communication streams without losing attention to detail
  • Contribute emergency dispatch expertise to data quality standards and protocol effectiveness
  • Participate in knowledge-sharing activities that improve simulation realism and accuracy

Requirements

The strongest candidates bring professional experience in ambulance or emergency dispatch operations and understand how protocol-driven decisions support urgent response work. You should be able to remain composed, communicate empathetically, and document operational details accurately in time-sensitive situations.
